Need to Add a Note to Order

I can't figure out how to do this. I received an order, accepted the order and put in ship and payment due dates, but forgot to add a shipping charge. But now my only option is to send an invoice, but I don't usually do that until the order is ready. I can't communicate back and forth with a buyer before sending an invoice?

Looks like the only way is to hit the "Contact Buyer" button. Unless I am not seeing another way to do this.

Yeah, I was hoping for a way to send notes back and forth within the P.O. so that they sort of become part of the P.O., you know? But you're right, "contact" for now.

I hear ya! Would be great to have that form of communication before/during accepting PO's or Invoicing, etc. Would also love to be able to add private notes about the order...all on one page.

Hi there!

Thanks for your input with this - I've added your suggestions as new features to consider when updating the PO system.

For what it's worth, even after you send an invoice to your buyer, you can update with additional charges (like a shipping charge) and add a note to resend to your buyer - as long as they haven't paid, you can edit the prices as necessary. That way, if you find an additional shipping charge is needed, you can update the PO and send a note so that everything is all together in the invoice and the pricing is correct!
