Integration with retail store?

I'd like to know if Etsy has plans to integrate more seamlessly with the retail store. I use some external apps to manage inventory and having separate listings is pretty cumbersome.

1. Are there external apps that help manage inventory on the wholesale side?
2. How do others handle this?
3. How much activity is there on the wholesale side overall?
4. Would anyone else benefit from Etsy merging the inventory of both the retail and wholesale sides?

I personally don't want the two merged. All of my pieces are made to order so when I create new products I decide if i want to import them to EW or not and that is a pretty easy step. I have some pieces that I do not want to sell wholesale as they are too time consuming to make or one of a kind. I have had a decent amount of activity here so far, I am happy with it.
I do want to have some of the features that etsy retail has over here, for example, shipping. I reallly need to have shipping over here.

That's a good point. Maybe they can look into a way to accommodate both types. Import individual items and link the inventory numbers on those items.
