Get involved with the 2019 Etsy Design Awards!

Hi everyone!

We’re excited to announce that we’ve just launched the 2019 Etsy Design Awards -- and we can’t wait to get sellers from the UK involved! These awards will recognise the work of extraordinary sellers from around the world and across multiple categories. Sellers should submit their favourite piece -- whether it’s handcrafted, designed or vintage. The full awards details are available here but we wanted to use this space to get you ready to take part.

Get ready to apply

• Review the FAQs - Learn more about the different categories, criteria and how to prep your shop.
• Get your shop critiqued - This is the perfect time to get involved in shop critiques with your Etsy team or on the Etsy Community Hub so you can make sure everything looks just right. Some things to keep in mind:
  • Include great product photography
  • Use all 13 tags
  • Complete your shop policies
• Budget your time - Submissions close 29 May 2019 at 4:59 AM BST - make sure that you leave yourself enough time to get your application ready!

• Be sure to share the item you’ve submitted with your followers on social, tagging @EtsyUK and using the hashtag #TheEtsies so that we can re-share some of your great products!

To help you get your listing ready for submission, we’re kicking off a peer-to-peer listing critique in the Forums!

Here’s how it works:

• Reply to the Forums thread giving the listing above one tip for improvement (i.e. Are they using all 13 tags? Have they captured all the right angles in their images? Do they offer competitive shipping?), and one thing that’s working well.
• Share the listing you plan to submit (or a similar one) in your comment as well.
