I charge 5.50 for world wide shipping and that includes my packing cost,
and registered shipping.... I guess I'm lucky that it's a great price

I charge 3.50 for most of my items , I use First Class Air Mail but without tracking and signature confirmation
most of my items weight less than 30gr
it depends on the post services :)

I think it all depends on the country of origin and if they buyer is either underchargering for shipping or just adding it to their item cost...

My items don't weight much, so my shipping to US, is about $6-8 in pounds that's about £3-6

I wish I could get my prices lower. I ship International First Class and I only charge what it costs not including shipping materials - I figure that in the price. It costs me $12.83 with insurance to ship a 6-8 oz. cardboard mailer overseas.

In the U.S. I use priority mail flat rate envelope for $5.80 with insurance. I guess I should be thankful it isn't more expensive.

Re: why the ship price in usa too low? local and worldwwide .

I mostly charge 4 dollars for shipping outside of Sweden and 5-6 dollars for heavier items. For international delivery the "lowest" available option is first class airmail. Packaging costs are included in the price of the items.
The Swedish Post makes no difference between USA/Saudi Arabia/Brazil etc. There is only a teeny weeny difference in price if I ship within the EU or outside of it.

Re: why the ship price in usa too low? local and worldwwide .

I've sold a few items now to different countries from the US and my shipping has still be ridiculous. A necklace to spain cost 9$, a wreath to Australia was 15$. And this through the USPS without tracking or confirmation, and me packaging it myself.

I have a hard time figuring out how to do shipping prices properly because everytime I go to the website to get an estimate it ends up being a different price when I actually show up to ship it.

Veronica, do you have postage scales at home or are you guessing at the weight? If you're using the actual shipping weight (and size where relevant), there really shouldn't be any surprises.

Also, did you know that when you buy your postage online ... whether thru Etsy, PayPal, or USPS.com, you'll save 5% to 10% over buying it at the post office?!
