where should I look if I want to be in craft shows?

I've looked around google, but all I seem to find is junk. I would like to be in some craft shows (I live in Indiana), but I'm having a hard time finding out about them (when they are, how to sign up). Anyone have any advice? Have you been in a craft show before? Did it work out well for you?

Classifieds in the local paper, Craig's list, maybe a crafting guild has listings...


They are a lot of work for us--traveling with glass, unpacking, hanging everything, re-packing *carefully* at the end of a long day. That's the hardest part--being just as careful putting away what didn't sell. It's all made of glass, and glass + tired is not an easy mix.

Join a local city/state team, and ask around or share information. Build connections and have fun :)

Although googling might also work, haha.

Sometimes a great resource also is calling your Local Art League or Chamber of Commerce. Depends on what kind of craft show you want to do. I belong to a group called Crafters Guide, they do not cover Indiana however, it is under Yahoo Groups. That is also a place to check. Show promoters. Festival promoters in google for Indiana
