what is the optimal size for pictures in the listing?

I've asked this question before too and someone responded with 1000 x 750 or something along those lines I believe! I've found that doing anything 1000 x 1000 seems to work fairly well too but I'm still learning myself and just play around with things. I use Gimp for my photoediting. Good luck!

I always use 575x431. This makes my pictures still look nice when Etsy makes the thumbnails. Before I've always had those distressed pictures (like the one on my last listing, that was a renewal). :(
