what do you think of a negative feedback

Hello friends,
Recently I received a ' Negative Feedback ' from one of the buyers, I am quite stressed with it, as despite of providing a good product ,communicating & sending photos of the ready order before shipping & getting her consent ..to ship !
I wonder .. why the buyers use such strong words ? above all she is not replying my emails !
For all my other flowers sold, the buyers are satisfied & they love the items they have bought, but I have not asked them to leave a +ve feedback ..

Has anyone gone thru this before? What do u think I should do ?

Ouch, I'm sure that's gotta hurt. The feedback system is very flawed here on Etsy. I'm not sure if they have any plans on improving it either.

All I can say, is just keep on keeping on. Chin up! Don't let one unreasonable person take your joy.

honestly, I think 99% positive is awesome. cheer up and keep doing what you're doing.

In fact, the more I think about it, 99% positive is BETTER than 100% positive because it tells me "this seller encourages honest feedback and doesn't pull shenanigans or twist arms to get them all positive". You can't please everybody.

I think the flower is gorgeous! Cute shop too. I would chaulk it up to a stressed out bride and you just happened to be one she's taking it out on. She even said in her feedback that you would refund money, so why she still left you negative feedback is unfortunate.
The rest of your feedback is good, so don't let one sour apple ruin the bunch!

That stinks! But I'm with the others on this one - you can't please everyone, and you have PLENTY of positive feedback to counter that one negative. There's always someone who is never satisfied, and we all know those people, so whenever I read one negative feedback, in a group of tons of positive ones, I just think that it's that particular person's issue - NOT the seller. Try not to fret about it! Your flowers are gorgeous!!! :)

I think your work is awesome--I looked at your pretty black blossom with pearls etc in the center. You state it's "delicate" and made of "satin" so the buyer doesn't expect it to stiff. Don't worry--you've got a terrific track record. Keep up the great work!

As a buyer, one negative would not deter me. I always look at the comments and look for trend. If there is a huge trend of people liking what you sell, and only one negative, I would think that the person leaving the negative probably had no idea what to expect.

This is also a good time to go back and touch base (once and no more!) with those who haven't left feedback. You can ask them if their order was what they wanted, and then to contact you if it wasn't. You might find one or two are happy to leave feedback, helping your percentages just a bit.

I think the buyer had bigger expectations than she even realized or could communicate. I hope she explained to you afterwards EXACTLY what was wrong with it in HER eyes.
So, you got your Bridezilla out of the way. after refunding money ask her if she would at least change from negative to neutral while leaving her comments.
Else, go to her profile and leave feedback (at neutral!) but explain how she won't respond.
PS: when i see one bad after many positives, i ignore that bad one. ;)

I wouldn't worry too much either; one out of 89 is pretty darned good; and she does say the reason why she's unhappy and that you're refunding the $. Maybe next time add in a line about how floppy or stiff the flower is? Otherwise, just keep putting your products out there and getting more sales, pretty soon her complaint will be a distant memory.

Wait a few weeks (when the stress of her wedding is over) and send the kiss and make up option. I would stop sending her e-mails at present and let her decompress. A person thinks more logically when they've had time to calm down. Did you already refund her money?

Also, I wouldn't leave negative or neutral feedback for the buyer, that's not productive and will only worsen the situation.

Priya, there is alot of opportunity to reconfigure the feedback system here at Etsy. Maybe sometime in the future, Etsy can bring it in to the next level, so feedback is not a win/loose situation. I would enjoy being on that committee, but in the meantime...

Your product is beautiful and we all can see you put your heart and soul into your Shop. Your feedback is still great, I can do an instant replay in my mind when this buyer was having a really negative day..... and not being able to yell at anyone in her circle, you were there. You unfortunately were in her line of fire.

I second the suggestion to wait after her big day is history and send her a convo to do a kiss and makeup.

As I used to say in my brick and mortar store experience...just rise above it. Situations are not what they appear at first and the rhythm of the universe is always in flux.

Hang in there and keep up the great work!

As a buyer, I look through all of a seller's feedback to find the neutral and negative feedback comments. I make my decision based on what other buyer's left. It's been my experience that the majority of negatives I've read on the sellers I've purchased from have been from buyers that probably wouldn't be satisfied if the seller had given them the moon. I feel the same way about this one negative feedback from this one transaction. Even your one neutral feedback seems to fall along these lines. The rest of your positive feedback speaks to your professionalism and how happy your customers have been with their purchases. You can use this negative as an opportunity for improvement -- be sure to put in the new listing that this flower isn't stiff!

You have a lovely shop, don't let this get you down!

You can't imagine .. how your words have increased my confidence.

I had already refunded her and next day she has left me with this feedback.yes I will give her some time & try to kiss and makeup .

untill today morning I was so sad.. I am still .., I was thinking to close the shop & all, but now I realise that by closing the store, only I am going to lose doing what I love..
today I will sleep well, with a commitment to myself to give my best, keep on listing more flowers & wait patiently for a better tommorow a new day ahead .
