Ok - is it just me? I have been super busy the past couple of weeks with family stuff and have really only had time to make my orders, renew stuff that was about to expire and answer convos. No promoting/listing new stuff/etc. My sales are slightly lower than usual when I have these periods - but I notice whenever I am behind my computer and have a few minutes to tweak a listing or whatever........I get a sale within minutes......like customers KNOW I am sitting here waiting for a sale. I know that is technically not possible.....but I always find it kind of weird (and awesome). Does this ever happen to you? (because this is not the first time it has happened to me....!) Cue spooky music.....

My sales usually happen whenever I am away from my computer for long periods of time :)

'They' say there are no coincidences but, in this case I 'they' are wrong. :-)
I feel like I get a sale when I promote someone else by making a treasury or propping something on my FB. Statistically, it probably isn't even true but I feel like it is good karma.

It happens to me on Folksy, every time I think, right that's it, I haven't had a sale for almost a month, when I get to 1 month mark I'm giving up - I get a sale!

I usually get my Etsy sales overnight, I wake up in the morning and usually have a couple of notifications on my phone screen :-D

No, wish that would happen to me! In April I had a couple of weeks with sales nearly every day and now haven't had one for about 6 weeks. It's like someone turned the off switch. I get loads more views (about 200 a day) just no sales. I know sales do not equal views but after 6 weeks of this I am beginning to wonder!

Rachel I am really flumoxed with Folksy. I just don't see where or how you can interact with others to get a sale. In the forums it's so complicated to paste your work. Am I missing something?

I looked at your shop and it's really lovely. You have obviously worked so hard that you can even reap the benefits when you are not working in it. Well done - and it's nice to know that it does work if you just keep at it! I will be happy to take a leaf out of your book and keep going. Thanks!

I get it ~ There have been times, and I don't know why, that I just get that feeling that a sale is about to happen and it does. It's happened many times. Whatever it is or why it happens I don't know or care, just keep happening!

I seem to get a majority of my sales while I'm sleeping. The Cha-Ching sound must wake me up enough to the point where I'm renewing items in my sleep....... That can't be good haha.

I'll get them while I'm sitting here, but more often, I'll get them when I'm away from my computer for a couple of hours. But I have noticed more often lately that I'm getting them while I'm sitting here. Either way, I'll take them. :D

Seems like it can happen a few ways for me. When I'm creating new items for awhile, when I'm editing and listing, and when I'm taking a little break from sitting behind the computer too. But whenever I am sitting behind the computer and get a sale, I always say I must be doing something right LOL

This is why i believe in the quantum physics and the idea of universal energy, it explains all these 'weird' coincidences.

I actually struggle with things like this, especially where tweaking comes into it. I have strong tags and titles, or at least I DID. They used to do so well for me, but all of a sudden everything's gone down the toilet. Next to no views for over a month, few sales and just generally little interest, and what's worse is that I just don't know what to do about it!

Still, jealousy aside, it's wonderful that that works for you! It truly is! Keep it up! And share some tips ;P

This hasn't really happened to me, but it has happened that I "feel" a sale is coming, is coming, is coming... and in a few days I have it :)

I am kind of worried now, because I don't feel any sale coming and I wouldn't like to break my 2-sale per month average for this year :/
