using pictures (from other peoples' shops) in a blog entry question

Just wondering, if I'm writing a blog post about how much I like so-and-so's shop, what is the correct etiquette for using photos from their product listing?

Usually I send them a convo first saying something like "Hi, I want to talk about how cool your shop is in my blog, can I use a photo from this listing" type of thing - only more professional sounding of course.

Most of the time they respond quickly, but sometimes there is no reply...

So I was wondering, with things like blogs, pin interest, &c., what is the standard etiquette about borrowing (giving due credit and linking back to where it came from) photos from people's listings to say good things about their shop?

Usually, you post it, link back, and provide details about the shop in the post. Most find it a nice courtesy to get some type of email or convo about the feature with the option of your removing it for any reason should they request it.
