two questions from a newbie

Hi Everyone! A couple of things that have recently come up that I am not sure about and would appreciate answers from you with more experience:

Have you ever put someone in your circle and then removed them? What does this mean; why would you remove someone?

If a customer wants to make payments, (which i state I will take in my policies) how do you handle that? Do you remove the item as sold and not send til PIF or, is there a way to mark it sold and keep it listed? Help!!

You have good questions. I wonder about the same things...

Someone had added me to their circle, but then removed. I don't know who it was, because I don't remember all who added me in the first place. But I found it interesting that they had removed me and wondered why. Was it something I did? Does that mean they don't like my shop? It left me confused, but I didn't lose sleep over it.
I haven't removed anyone from my circle at all. I find the circle pretty fun and interesting to view the activity. That's actually how I found this team! But sometimes I get info overload with all the items that people fave.

If I had a customer that wanted to make payments, I think I would "deactivate" the listing and wait to send until PIF. Although, if the customer puts the item in the cart and checks out (using check or money order), I think it marks it as sold and is removed from the shop. Then it won't be "counted" as a sale until you mark it as a paid item.
I don't think there is a way to mark as sold and keep it listed, but I'm not certain.

When you sell an item and receive payment, the item will automatically disappear from your shop listings. When you click on sold items you have the option of leaving it there or renewing the listing.

When you take payments (Layaway) I believe you edit the listing title and description to Reserved for XYZ Please do not buy. I keep it as such until you receive the final payment.

i really like the circles, but i actually removed someone once... i was convinced they were a bot. the amount of activity that showed from that person dominated my feed - they were on etsy favoriting things all day and all night.

not sure of why else someone would remove people, but i wouldnt worry about it
