thoughts on a potential consignment opportunity?

Hey all,

I needed to get some advice on a potential consignment opportunity that I am currently waffling on. There's a UK based site that I just recently found out about, which offers promotion and an already established customer base in exchange for a $20 membership fee, $20 monthly stocking fee and 15% commission fee per sale. I'm just wondering whether other people have experienced the same thing/situation, and if so, whether it's worth it.
Thoughts? Any advice would be much appreciated! I am trying to branch out from my etsy shop, but wonder whether this would actually work, even with all the promotion on their part.

I keep hearing about this going around. I have no words of wisdom, but will be interested in hearing others opinions and/or experiences.

I am starting to get away from consignment. It's very hard to keep track of your items and you are basically just hoping the boutique is honest.

Is there any sort of commitment that you have to sign on for or is it month to month? Like can you cancel anytime? If you can cancel anytime perhaps it would be best to try it out for a month or two and see how it goes. But only do it if you can afford to invest $40 to try it out. Think of it as a trial if it isn't working walk away and then you know it's not worth it at this time for you

I know what you mean- I have items in a store right now that I'm really just thinking of annulling and requesting my items back. They've been there for a while now with no sales.
This new opportunity, however, is a service somewhat similar to etsy, where you don't have to send in your items, but you basically have them promote your pieces to a young crowd. I don't know anyone that has personally done it, which is why i was really wondering what others might think.
