split the store

hi friends!
Here and there it is said that items in your store must be coherent. From the beginning, I saw no difference in my works and added them all in one store but now I have a more clear view on what I do :)
In other wwords, I'd like to separate my items in tribal style into another store. Is anybody know whether it is possible to just split the store, or I will have to start a clean sheet of paper? Thank you!

Re: split the store

I know this isn't what you asked, but I scanned your shop and thought it looked great as far as cohesiveness goes. Did you already remove the tribal items? I thought you had a nice array of items and styles. I personally wouldn't do a second shop,

Re: split the store

Thank you, Elizabeth! It is very pleasant to hear this.

I haven't removed anything yet. I'm still collecting the information and making more items.

Re: split the store

Hi agnessa
I agree with elizabeth too.
Your shop looks beautifully fluid as it is.

I have a mix of items in my shop .( i get bored just making the exact same things over & over) & i sell the full range so i think it doesn't harm my little etsy page.

Good luck however you do it ! :)

Re: split the store

Thank you, Mirry! I looked in your store and saw it's no obstacle to have a mix of items for successful sales. I'll think it over.

Re: split the store

Hi Agnessa,
I have thought a lot about opening a second Etsy shop too...based on all that I keep reading about cohesiveness. But I've finally decided not to. I have a huge assortment of items...lots of different handmade items, vintage items, jewelry, quilts, fabric, supplies, etc. My shop is not cohesive & not very organized either. In fact, I haven't even rearranged my shop since Etsy changed to our new look a couple months ago. That's mainly because I don't know how to do it. Anyway, what I was getting at is that I get lots of views & plenty of sales & for me - that's what counts. I've found that the more listings you have, the more views & sales you get - so the last thing you want to do is reduce the items in your shop by 1/2.

Re: split the store

I agree with all above. Your shop looks cohesive. It would add too much work to run a second shop.
As Jewel stated it's not a good idea to reduce your listings. Adding more items mean more tags and more chances to get found.
Most of buyers come across specific listings with search terms, it's not that common for a buyer to first check your shop, then find a listing.

Re: split the store

I see. The item quantity goes above the coherency. Thank you friends for your advice and opinions! I'll keep the only store for now since I'm not able to fill in both heavily. I'm thankful for your assistance!
