should i continue to accept returns/exchanges?

its just annoying when i give the customer all the measurements and information on how to measure themselves and they message me and say it didn't fit and want to return.

it probably happens every 10 orders i get a return.

im afraid they will leave negative feedback if i don't accept returns. They try to say that i send them the wrong size when i didn't. And i really don't want feedback that says this:
"fit horrible, didn't send right size" <--- (I've seen that on other shops that sell high waisted shorts and don't except returns.) and I've also had a customer return something but came back and became a loyal customer. i don't know. :/

Is it possible that you should have even more size information in your listings. For instance I would love to buy high waisted shorts (although it snowed today so I don't need shorts any time soon.) I see that you sell by waist size, it doesn't specify if that is the natural waist? My big issue was no hip size measurements. I have 32 inch waist and 40 inch hips, what size would I order, I assume if I was to order 32 inch waist it wouldn't fit me.

oh sorry i should have specified. My clearance section and one of a kind section is what i was referring too! haha. i give waist, hip, thigh, and rise measurements. i specify on all my shorts listing where to measure your waist. but the hip sizes do vary so i wouldn't complain if they needed a return. :P

Understandable!

So I would say that a no returns policy is unenforceable and might lead to bad feedback and unhappy customers. If the customer is really unhappy they can get their money back one way or the other.

It would take a lot more patience than I have to sell clothing online! You are a champ!

I think on clothing you really need to allow returns. There is non way I would buy clothing online with a no returns policy. I know buyers can struggle with visualizing the size of a piece of jewelry - - even with measurements, I would think clothing would be even more difficult to select. Plus, even if measurements are dead on, the item may not look nice on the buyer.

I would not buy clothing ANYWHERE -- here or thru a catalog -- if I cannot return it if it doesn't fit or doesn't 'feel right'

Fit isn't always measurements. I can have a certain waist measurement but because of a small sewing detail it won't fit right. Watch Project Runway and you'll see what I mean. They're fitting things on a model and it's still difficult -- imagine doing it by mail.

Please do allow returns. I do NOT ever purchase clothing online for a few reasons. I rather go to the store and try it on and if it doesn't fit I don't buy. Just make sure you state in your policy that it has be to returned unworn and in a specified time frame.

I'd keep allowing returns on your standard listings, but I can see the possibility of doing some heavily discounted clearance listings that don't allow returns - kind of a "buy it at your own risk, it's super cheap because I'm getting rid of this style" thing
