I've only been on Etsy for about 3 months, so I am wondering what people's experience is with renewing items. Do you renew everything or do you re-evaluate the item? Do you put it on sale? What is your success rate with a renewed item?

Renewing an item basically helps put it at the top of searches, so it's a good thing to keep up with. Some people swear by renewing at least one thing a day, which is not a bad idea if you have enough items in your shop. I find that I get more views pretty quickly after renewing, then it dies off within a couple of hours.

You can find out by checking your shop stats. Everyone could be different, so it's important to check yours. If you check daily for a while by choosing "Today"or "Yesterday" you'll get a feel for the times of day when your shop is more active. That's most likely when it's better to renew.
