quick Craftopolis question:

On the Craftopolis website, what does this mean:

"No matching analytics profile"
and
"(shop name) is not a valid user name"

I've tried both of my etsy shop names that Google Analytics asked for: (www.etsy.com/shop name) and short name (www.etsy.com.shop-name) that Google Analytics asked for.

If you haven't set your GA up yet, Craftopolis won't recognize you - they track your numbers through Google Analytics. Wait until your GA says it's tracking your shop, then try again. If that still doesn't work, Shannon (the guy who runs Craftopolis) has an account here on Etsy - you're free to convo him. His handle here is sbbarnes

wait a minute. you can totally use craftopolis without GA. You just can't upload the GA data without an active GA profile.

i have to login twice (back to back time) for my information to "stick". but then everything works normal. I don't have my GA account synced to my Etsy and therefore don't use the GA portion of Craftopolis.

Nope, just put the UA code they give you on the Web Analytics page in Your Shop. Etsy will do the rest, and it should start tracking within 24 hours.

Go to Your Shop, scroll down. On the left sidebar under Shop Settings, there a thing that says Options. Click the Web Analytics tab, and there's a place to paste your UA-string of numbers code. You don't have to get that long Javascript code. Click save, and you're done!
