$$$ question!

Hi there everyone!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable evening yesterday!

I have a quick question- do you think the items in my shop are priced properly? Or am I selling myself short? I had a huge epiphany today about some new products- and I need to know if my current prices are in the range you would buy! (or if they're priced to be considered cheap). Here's one example:

Thanks so much for your input. One thing I need to work on this year confidence in my product! I think I'm too modest about my art sometimes haha- but beauty is in the eyes of the beholder :)

Best.

Re: $$$ question!

i don't know how much something like that should cost
have u calculated your expenses(labor, materials etc)?if you feel that the price isn't right for your you can adjust it accordingly.

p.s. are popeye vintage books that expensive?

Re: $$$ question!

I honestly don't know what those things are worth but I think people are always willing to pay market value no need to under or underprice.

Last week I sold 3 decks of cards for $30 each and this week I have a 3set of playing cards listed for $145 and I think I will sell it for more. (And there are not even vintage) So I think there is a market for everything.

Re: $$$ question!

Calculating aside- I'm just curious to see if the wow factor plays a factor in the situation. I understand this piece won't attract everyone, but with the quality, including the mat and making the piece easy to frame for the buyer should make a difference, right?
I just want reassurance what I'm doing by upcyclying vintage goods is the right direction :).
Thanks for the input!

Re: $$$ question!

Did you draw the pictures from the popeye book or cut them and place them in the frame? I think if you drew them that is to little of money and if you placed them in the frame it depends on how much you paid for the frame.
It is so hard to determine someone elses prices. I sell vintage but what I pay for something might not be what someone else pays for something or were I live may have more certain items available

Re: $$$ question!

Very cool - I do think it is appropriately priced as I'm sure it took a lot of work to cut a mat with four picture openings. I do think it might be an improvement to use the 2nd photo as your first listing photo - It more accurately represents what the buyer will receive for the price. You'd just have to put "picture frame not included" early in the description--- just my two cents!
