is this too expensive?

Dear all - tell me is 22 usd too much for the below? Note my shipping to US is another 6 usd. I am trying to define an acceptable price point - the costs for these is rather high but i wonder if consumer is willing to pay this.

Hi! 22USD doesn't seem too expensive to me. I always calculate base price in an excel sheet. Starting with the cost, the time I spent making it (I give myself an hourly wage), tax, Etsy cost, Paypal cost etc. Then I find the minimum price I could sell it for. Then I also look at other similar items on Etsy and online and establish a price based on all that. Hope that helps!

I find price to be perceived value, meaning people think different things are worth different amounts. You will have people tell you they are too expensive and you will have people tell you they are priced just right. What matters is that you have covered your cost of materials, your overhead, your labor, and given yourself a little bit of profit. As far as your shipping, it is what it is. You have to make sure it is covered somehow and most people understand that shipping overseas is not cheap. Actually, I'm somewhat surprised it's only $6, I thought it would have been higher.

I don't buy much jewelry, but your prices are similar to those at our local accessory chain store which buys each designs by the thousands, and markets them to young teenage girls. I am not sure if that is your market, but your items look too nice to be in that similar market. Just my opinion.

Really appreciate your builds! i know i should look into cost-fees-profit formula but i also try to understand what people would be willing to pay for the item. I am fresh on Etsy and have not made too many sales to simply see if people buy my staf or not. As many of us here i am still a bit in this state of doubt if what i make will appeal to anyone at all. So your comliments are invaluable to raise my confidence. :)

No, I think your prices are fair! I can't see paying less than $20 for any bracelet, unless it is a piece of string!

agree with the above! $22 is a very acceptable and average price for a peice of jewelry :) I would expect to pay that anywhere including online.

$22 doesn't seem crazy. Do you price just according to what you think the market will bear, or do you have an hourly wage and costs? I price everything at an hourly wage plus costs. I don't worry about my prices so much then. I know that's the price I can offer. If my item won't sell at that price, I won't offer it.
