is it better to copy or relist an item?

I have an item that has been in the shop awhile and has a bunch of views, favorites and a treasury or two. If I keep renewing it will it look shop worn from the high view total? Maybe it would be better to copy and start over?

I'm glad on Etsy the product only sits around virtually, if this many people had actually looked at the quilt, it would have worn out :)

i don't think anyone cares about the total views of the item they are going to buy
so i would renew it , you can copy a listing if you want to add something similar
if it's the same item i wouldn't go with the copy thing

I agree I wouldn't worry about the total views. Unless someone looks at your solds and scrolls through to see if it ever sold, people usually assume it has sold and it constantly renewed. At least I do. So I don't look at an item with 500 views as it can't be sold, but rather as it has probably sold and the owner has renewed a bunch of times. I think you should keep renewing as I have heard that views and favorites help with getting seen in the relevancy formula, so your old listing stands a better chance of being seen than a brand new one.

I would definitely renew. Views are a factor in both search and browse, pushing you up in both.
I doubt very much that a buyer would even notice views and if anything might be impressed by lots of views.

Renew - you keep the favorites, people can find the item through their favorites, and possible other links to your item (for example from Wanelo or Pinterest) still work.
