image names relevant in etsy SEO - Admin?

Hey all,
just wondering if anyone knows if giving a title to a listing image before uploading (vs the deafult saved name) helps with etsy relvancy and search results?

when i blog i use actual titles related to my post/item because it shows up in google image search results.. but im wondering if the same is true when uploading pictures here on etsy?

From what I understand, Etsy changes the name of your image regardless what you may have titled it. So, it doesn't matter what you call.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

To my knowledge, that has no bearing on your SEO here. My images don't have the "title" they had when I uploaded them.

It doesn't matter at all what you call your images.

If you right click on any of your images you will see what they are called in Etsy.

It is definitely a myth--on Etsy. If you have your own website, however, this is something that will impact SEO. But if you have a shop on Etsy or any other e-retail site, the site will change the title and the effort you put into naming that photo will be wasted.
