how to edit policies?

If I want to use Etsy's new shop policies, is there a way to add more detail? I have a customer who would like to exchange an item and it made me realize that nowhere in my policies does it say buyers will be responsible for shipping back and shipping back out again. I'd like to add that so it's clear but can't figure out how or where. And I don't want to go back to my old policies because I think I heard using the official Etsy policies will help placement in search results.

I have a similar problem. Is there another way other than using the FAQ section to add detailed policies? I've seen many shop profiles where their policies section is very clear and detailed, but Etsy doesn't give the option to add so many specifics.
Maybe it has something to do with the new Dashboard?

I have a similar problem too. I have not found how to fix it or add something. Only ready-policy template and nothing else :(

I would like to ease up on my policies a bit but found I couldn't change my shipping policy now. Is there anywhere I can see what Etsy shipping policy is?

Marking this thread. I also need more detail and didn't realize that specifics I originally had in my policies vanished when I adopted "etsy" policy.
Also, since it IS Etsy policy, will they allow us to stick to it in any potential case filed?

I am having the same problem as well. One of my shops has the policies as I would like them to appear. The other has the generic ETSY policies. Which in my case has lead to problems because the information is not clearly laid out. I didn't realize that using the etsy policies effected your placement in search results???

I found this: "As we announced in November 2015, customer experience is a factor we consider in search placement. When determining customer experience on Etsy, we look at positive reviews, completed About sections, and completed Shop Policies (FAQs and seller details are not factored into search ranking). Selecting these new Shop Policies are an easy way to give shoppers the information they’re looking for while slightly improving your placement in Search."

Best I can tell, the only place to add the extra details is in the FAQ section, altho I am not sure how prominent that is when someone is viewing your shop.
