Wow - I was gone for a few hours, and y'all have been busy-busy on this thread! :D
@McsHandmadeTreasures: - thank you for going through and listing everyones FB pages. Also, you won't see the "like" button on your own page, but don't despair - others will see it! I didn't post my page earlier, but here it is:
http://www.facebook.com/sonyajohnsonartNote that it goes (or should go, anyway) to a Welcome page rather than my Wall, Info, or my Etsy shop. This is something I just did earlier in the week, and something I'd suggest all of you consider adding to your FB pages to enhance them. The Welcome page is an app, which is why you won't see it as a default on your own page (just like the My Etsy page is - you have to add it).
There are several 3rd party app programs available for creating your Welcome page, and many are free, like the one I used - Pagemodo - which has templates that you can slightly customize. You get more features if you pay, but the free version works for me, for now. You can do a Google search for "FB Welcome page" and you'll find tons of info and options. Some can be quite fancy, with separate fan and non-fan content (that is, what a new person vs. a follower will see when they go to your Welcome page), ability to post video links, and such.
Your Welcome page can have whatever information you want on it - whatever you think will help attract people to like your page, and more importantly, be interested in your product(s) and buy them!
@KthysKreations - if you've already got a username for your page (you are talking about a page and not your personal FB account, right?), it should just be what you see at the top of your browser when you are on your page. Copy and paste it here and we'll see if it works. BTW, your "stalker" comment made me laugh - I'm not sure that it's possible to do that on FB :)!
For those with at least 25 likes, if you haven't done so, get a username.
To secure a username for your page (and thus get rid of the annoying string of numbers), you go to the "account" button at the top of your page and follow the instructions.
More info here on usernames:
http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=900@Evie'sTool: re getting some content going on your page - I liked the tutorial link you provided; for someone like me who is new to your page and doesn't know what they could be used for, this is important. Also, you could post photos of what can be created with your tools - examples of finished items. Are your tools for polymer clay only? I couldn't tell, so for folks like me that don't know, those sorts of things might be useful. It might be neat to encourage your customers to post photos of items they have made using your tools - you can enable that feature (followers to post photos).
Someone asked earlier in the thread if their FB page has been useful for sales in their Etsy shop, and my personal experience has been a resounding ABSOLUTELY YES! Most of my sales have come from followers seeing my work on my FB page, and then buying it from my Etsy shop.
FB pages are a free form of marketing for your products, so IMO everyone should have one. They are great for helping build a personal connection to your customers, which is important.
I hope some of this info helps others; I've spent a lot of time trying to figure things out on my own, and if some of this saves others some time and/or head scratching, then it was worth the time to post it.
-Off to check out that list of FB page linkes that McsHT provided :).
