Titles should be written with a viewer's perspective, as if we're describing to them the item they're about to see. I (and many others) have a tendency to want titles to be poetic, creative, fun...but those titles don't work in the search engines to bring you more viewers. Remember that you're writing a title the search engine can use to maximize the traffic to your shop. You can be as creative and poetic as you want when you write the text for an item. Just not in the titles.
Say your item is an art print. You want the words "original art print" or "fine art print" in the title. Then you want a few words about the major theme of the print, such as "Wildflower Meadow" or "Aspen Forest in Autumn."
A good place to find the words that will get you the best search results are the keywords you get daily from Etsy. Make sure those are in the title. (My primary keyword is always "bracelet," then "lampwork jewelry.")
Your title might become "Original Art Print Aspen Forest in Autumn Colorful Fine Art." This gives the SE many choices to pick from in order to send you viewers. If a viewer enters "original art," "art prints," "aspen trees, "aspen forest," autumn colors," "autumn art," "fine art" or "colorful art prints," your item will be on one of the pages they are shown.
Or perhaps "Fine Art Print Wildflower Meadow in Bloom Original Wall Art." That would hit on "fine art," "art prints," wildflowers," "meadow," "meadow in bloom," "original wall art," and maybe some others I haven't thought of.
If you think of a keyword phrase, and you're not sure if it will work, try it in the search bar and see what you come up with yourself.
Make a list of the phrases that fit your items. Ask friends to help you. Don't get too far off track because you want to be thinking as if you're a viewer looking for exactly what YOU ARE SELLING. What words would you use in a search? Those go in your title.
There are many fine Etsy articles to help you with titles. I'd also suggest you look at shops that seem to have a lot of traffic and sales, and see how they're writing their titles.
I hope this helps you move toward your goal!
