I looked at this item. The photos can be brightened. A fifth photo can be added. Show sides, bottom, in a shipping box, etc. Tags can phrases instead of single words, and can be replicated in the title. You may also want to go over your policies with someone to catch textual errors.

My favorite: the about photo that shows a dish with a deep blue-purple blossom in the center. Good luck!!

Good morning neighbor - I go to Clarkston all the time! Your items are great, but the pictures need some work. They are too dark (also your banner) and could use some brightening. Do you have any photo editing software? Does your camera allow for a white balance? It looks like you've tried to make a light box, but using fabric? I would suggest buying some white foam core board and use that instead, because it's hard to be wrinkle free with the fabric.

Also, your titles and tags could use a little work. In the item I am looking at - "Fused glass rabbit suncatcher is hoping his way to your house" - you need to title it a little differently. Remember that the title needs to help you get found in Search. So, maybe a better title would be - Fused Glass Suncatcher, Window Decor, Animal Lover Art, Glass Art, Fused Glass Ornament, Rabbit Lover Gift, Hanging Suncatcher, etc..... I'm no expert, but I do know that your titles needs to have highly relevant "tags" in it and then your tags have to have those same phrases repeated and then some. This was hard for me at first because I thought a title was an actual title, not just a string of words, but to be found, it needs to be a string of phrases that will help you get found in Search. Jennifer, I think your items are fabulous. I fully agree with what has been said above. Your photos could be brightened and the background could be changed. In my opinion, your background detracts from your item. Also, the titles can use some tweaking.

I am glad I read this post, as I found and appreciate the article that Janelle linked on SEO, which is very concise and clear.

Pictures should be improved, and you can work on your shop banner too - it's quite hard to read the writing.

I quite like the general style of this item, but the top of the first picture seems a bit blur:

As others have indicated, your pictures need a bit of work. The wrinkled background in many of your listings does nothing to set off your pieces. It would be helpful if you could take a day and retake all of your pictures with a standard background. For instance, although dark, I like this picture with the wood table background:

Maybe you could use a nice wood table or bookshelf. Or maybe white is your background color of choice... This listing is really nice:

Look at other successful shops and model yourself after them. How are they tagging their work (borrow some of their tags if appropriate!)? How do they display their items? What type of background works for the type of items you are selling...and what gives a look that YOU like?

I'm back home and started working as soon as I could on the pictures and tags in the title and the banner. Thank you so much for all the advice. I think the picture's are coming out better then before.
I'm sad though I can't remember how I texted the Highfiregirl onto the banner. Ugh.
