feedback

I sold a few items from my shop and failed to request feedback, though I know all customers were, in fact very satisfied. Is it too late to emaill and ask them to submit. How do you think I should go about this?

Regretfully, Alexsondra

Re: feedback

I, too, find it weird when no one leaves feedback. Everytime I log in to Etsy I'm prompted to leave feedback, so I doubt it is that they forgot. At the same time, I'm a huge believer in feedback, so it seems crazy to me that they would choose not to.

Maybe you could contact them and simply ask how the item is living up to expectations?

Re: feedback

Honestly, I would just leave it. It can be considered spam.

Also, I just had a customer leave feedback for me weeks after the fact. And I often leave feedback in batches, so it takes me a week or two to actually leave it. It'll come!

Re: feedback

A lot of my customers are first time buyers, and either never leave feedback or leave it the next time they shop for something, which can be months down the line. I wouldn't really stress about it. If they aren't the type to leave feedback, I'm not sure that a polite note from the shop owner would suddenly change their behavior.

Re: feedback

I have customers tell me how much they appreciate the customer service they receive but then don't leave feedback- I'm just used to it now :)

Re: feedback

I agree with sewlodesigns that asking for feedback after a while can be considered spam.
I also want to disagree with Ecobota that it's doubtful that the customer forgot. It is in fact very possible that the customer forgot or did not know to do it. If you click "stay signed in" it will keep opening Etsy under your account (without any reminders). You have to log out and log back in to get the reminders. Not many people do that, especially if they have only one account/ shop.
You could either request feedback when people convo you saying that they enjoyed their purchase from you, or saying that you'd appreciate it if they took the time to leave feedback in your Thank you note that you send with the purchase.

Re: feedback

Please don't go begging for feedback after the fact.

The time to remind someone to leave feedback is in your 'thanks for your purchase' note or the note that you put in their package when you send it out.

If someone contacts you via convo or e-mail after they have received their item its ok then to ask them to leave formal feedback but other than that it comes off more like spam.
