here is something to consider: Etsy is a Marketplace. It has its own traffic and reputation that cannot be denied. But it is a marketplace.

by having your own site you then open up to other outside of the marketplace opportunities. your own branding, etc.


so to me, as a business, it makes sense to get myself in fron of ALL potential buyers. Being part of etsy is great, but the ball game is growing my business and sales. Why limit myself to a marketplace? I say get out there and build your own empire :-)


I am really loving my experience with Supadupa.me so far.

They have amazing customer service. All my emails or tweets are responded to within 24 hours - not to shabby!!

They have different "levels" of options that one can add or subtract depending on what suits your business best.

No fees - not for listing or transactions - NO FEES

Listing options. Love it.... I can List a single Hat and then add the color options without having to create a whole new listing for each color. Same for size. I can list a single item and then list size options. AMAZING!!!!!

Coupon Options: WOW! So MANY coupon options

And It's not a marketplace. I feel like I am doing a LOT of promotion work to drive traffic so I want to drive them to where they can see my work and it won't be buried. This being that it is, essentially, your own website.

I have been REALLY happy thus far and wanted to share this information and discount for those looking for e-commerce or their own site options.

sounds a lot like big cartel. then again there's a lot of ways to make your own e-commerce site. i've been working on my wordpress.org site for awhile now.

I have 2 really good friends building their wordpress.

after getting my butt kicked 3 ways to sunday by c-panel and doing it all myself, I started looking for options. I am so thrilled with how it is turning out.

And I still love the etsy marketplace and community environment so I feel like I got best of BOTH worlds.

Hey thanks for sharing this again. I missed it the first time but am so glad I caught it this time. I am probably going to open up a shop too. I also found a place called Lilyshop.com everyone might want to check out. I opened a painting shop.
