drop shipping

Today I received a convo asking me if I do drop shipping. It did not follow any other conversation - just out of the blue. I'm thinking it is probably spam.

Also, is drop shipping even allowed on ETSY? I couldn't find anything about it in the seller handbook.

Re: drop shipping

Its not allowed as in....you can't have folks buy on etsy and have someone else dropship the item for you.

As far as what they are asking you...is can they sell your product somewhere else...and after it sells you ship the item out to the customer. They wanna middle man.

Might be a scam might not be...I'd find out more info.

Re: drop shipping

I wouldn’t write it off as spam just yet. Sounds like they didn’t give you a lot of information, but they could be asking if you are willing to be a drop ship vendor for them. For instance I sell a selection of my lace bowls on another ecommerce site. I drop ship, meaning customers by my bowls from their website, but I package and ship them to the customer. It’s been a great relationship so far. Might be worth looking into if that’s what they are referring to.
