difference between inactive and expired listing

Just a quick question here: before my vacation, I inactivated my vintage clothing listings, because I couldn't take those with me. I expected them to be like an expired listing, but they sit in their own separate folder. Does that mean I can activate them again without paying another fee? I leave on another trip in two weeks, so will have to repeat the procedure, but if it doesn't cost me, I'd put them all out for now!
Thanks!

Re: difference between inactive and expired listing

Whenever I have to be away for more than a couple days or around really busy times & I get backed up on orders- I deactivate most everything instead of putting it in vacation mode. Not that it matters much for my shop yet- BUT if your etsy shop shows up when using google- it can mess that up. Or so I've heard?? I wouldn't want to take the chance on messing up my "relevancy" if that is the case.
