critique?

Hello, I've had my shop open for about a month now, and no sales. Currently I'm averaging about 25 views per day total between shop and listings (I have no idea if this is good or bad). I know I need to add more items (waiting on my photographer to get my images back to me this week), but is there anything else I can be doing? I know things take time, it's just discouraging not to be making any sales.

Re: critique?

Hi Erika!
You have a lovely shop! Your wreaths are gorgeous! I just love them!
Don't give up, you have only been open for one month and sales usually come within the second or third month. I know I only have 2 sales now but being active in teams and participating/curating in BNR's has helped me tremendously. It's a good way to get your shop out there and get those views and favorites going. I would just say list more and promote! Promotion is basically the key to success. You have to get your shop out there. It takes a lot of hard work but it's all worth it in the end.

It also depends on what your selling. I have seen shops that have been open for a year and only have 5 sales. BUT I have seen other shops that have been open for a month and have 40 sales. It's all about getting seen in this ocean full of art.

Best of luck!
Ashley :)

Re: critique?

Welcome to Etsy!

What are you doing to bring your potential customers to your shop? If you aren't doing any sort of marketing you are basically relying on chance that they will find you.

I noticed that many of your wreaths are for Christmas season. Maybe its time to retire those until the fall and work on spring and summer?

You have beautiful Wreaths Erika!

I would say that you need many more to be noticed on Etsy.

Keep going and keep smiling! It will be worth it in the end. :)
