can anyone explain to me what the tagging section on craftopolis is really telling me? I am confused as to what I'm looking at- what the sections/titles and numbers mean. I think I'm just missing something here- but I'd like to use the information to better my shop and I'm not exactly sure what it's telling me. thanks!
Hi MillieFern The tagging section is telling you what words a viewer used to find your item. Search type is how they started the search on Etsy's front page. Search words is the words they typed into the search bar that popped up your item. The numbers on the right are the page number that your item is listed on for the search words they used.
For me - the key words they are using to find my item are a clue to what tagging words I should be using to tag my item. And if the page number is really high, it might be time for me to relist that item.
I just added google analytics to my craftopolis yesterday and it really adds to overall quality of information. Working in combination is really helpful but I'm still confused on the unique views and I'm actually surprised on the tags. we'll have to rethink our tagging from this info!
So craftopolis works with google analytics? I'm confused, guess I just need to go over craftopolis's website again and dig in more. And I just got google analytics figured out, whew!
I have also wondered why the page found on box is blank? I have asked the question before and not gotten an answer...maybe someone will chime in on this thread!
If you are getting no info on craftopolis, check the drop down menu on the right. I have google analytics on my blog, also. So you need to select your etsy link instead of your blog link. I hope that helps!
thanks- yes you can if you want link craftopolis w/ etsy and also w/ your analytics to get some great info and even do some mass editing (i.e if you wanted to raise your listing prices- a lot of them or even all at once by an amount or percentage or vice versa you can do it from there)
this helps a bit- I didn't quite get what it was telling me. Ill check it out some more.
