copyright issues using scrapbook paper in your work...

Does anyone know what the copyright rules are when it comes to using scrapbook paper in work that you are selling? I've seen a lot of items using scrapbook paper as the sole design, and I use it as well in most of my paintings/collages, but it's usually covered up to some extent with paint. I'm just wondering how legal this is to use their images when we sell our stuff? Especially if we sell a lot that item.

i assume that any paper that you can buy at a craft store isnt copywritten, or else why would they sell it to the public? Maybe thats a naive way of thinking. I use scrapbook paper occasionally, but like you said, i also tend to cut it up and cover it in paint so i cant imagine there being an issue...

Well that's good. I know with stamps you have to be careful, since some of the companies are pretty fussy how you use their images. So I thought wonder if it's the same with scrapbook paper....
