I don't think you're allowed to convo anyone who favourite an item, either to thank them or offer them a coupon code or anything, whether they have a buyer-only account or not.
TheOrangeWindmill is right, sending a convo to someone who favourites your item is considered spam. Just imagine if everyone did that.... it would get annoying pretty fast.
