I am more than disappointed.

The relevancy of the ads is far from being perfect , and therefore, I don't understand why we are paying for showing up on the irrelevant search.

By now I got 400 impressions and 1 view.

If all the 400 times I showed up was in a relevant search, believe me, I would get much much much more views. Maybe I flatter myself, but my photos are great, and having seen them in a relevant search would bring a lot more views than 1 out of 400.

It would be much more productive if I could choose on which searches to show up.

Love your shop! You do have beautiful photos.

There seems to be lots that needs to be worked out with the search ads. For me, I probably won't use them until they are changed to Pay Per Click - if that ever happens. Paying for impressions does not "impress" me. :)

I agree with zehland. Lots to change before I put my money down for search ads. Totally not fair to us that we can't choose our own tags.

My shop views and sales were actually down yesterday, which was the 1st day my ads kicked on. I don't know if it related to the ads but I'm still interested in testing it out for the rest of the week, just to see.

My views went down too. If we buy search ads does that mean we are taken our of regular searches? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I still don't get it.

I was kind of wondering if the search ads were really going to work for my shop, but I just got a sale from them. Hooray! And I've spent less than $2.50. For me, it has been a good investment so far.

I do agree, though, that we'll have to give the ads a little bit more time to see their true value.

I agree! i am trying to day with carefully selected one word ads and wonder if some careful one word searches get me more clicks

Although I do think that showing up in irrelevant searches is definitely detrimental, I think the reason most of us are getting so many impressions and so few views from them is that people are searching and searching to find their items that they have paid to advertise and coming across everyone elses instead. I think we'll just have to wait until the hype dies down. Until then we won't really have an accurate read on the situation.

Oh... and congrats suekari on your search ad sale! It is great to see some success stories in all of this.

I've gotten 15 views today & 4 favorites ! The most views I've ever gotten in a day. Not sure if they are all coming from the ads today, but somethings working :).

Good point mcclouddesigns! I feel like my shop is at least getting more exposure with the search ads, but it sure would be nice to make more sales. Guess that will come with more listings, time for me

I have had 315 impressions and not one view.....i don't see how that can be? I had high hopes for the search ads as I am still waiting for my first sale. I'm glad that I'm not alone, but would much prefer it if we were all on here talking about how sucessful the search ads had been!

I just changed my Seller Ads options so they don't automatically renew next week. I'll spend as much of the $5 that I gambled on this as Etsy cares to use, but after that ... not unless I get the feeling these ads are working for a LOT of sellers. Right now I think this is just another income stream for Etsy!

I don't ususally have high view numbers, so far, but my view numbers have been slowly increasing. Search adds seem to be increasing my visibility, and I've been receiving some favorites. Not very many views compared to impressions, but more regular views. I'm just trying it out to see what happens.
