a buyer hasnt received this item I shipped on june 19 I shipped. It in a medium. Priority mail box. what could have happen

she said I have not received this plate. Can you tell me how this was shipped?

Things get lost from time to time, it's never a bad idea to insure your packages. But with priority mail, you should be able to look up the tracking number and see where it is at. Then update the buyer from there.

I've had a couple things not make it where it was intended, and I typically just ship out a new one. My profit margins allow me to do that from time to time if needed.

With the purchase of any Priority postage (whether it be online or in person at the post office) Tracking is automatically included.

If you purchased your postage at the post office, you will find your tracking number on the printed receipt from the post office.

You can simply enter that number into the USPS website and see where the package is.

I store my receipts from shipping with a printed copy of the sale. It helps me to look up tracking as well as track my inventory and do my books. Try looking at this option and see if they can help you

I'm sorry this happened. Always keep your printed receipts when shipping. What I do is staple the shipping receipt on to the Etsy sale receipt (one page print out) and keep it in a file.

That way, if there is ever an issue, you have all your documentation in one place. If you ship through Etsy shipping, they keep a tracking number attached to your order. If you ship through paypal, you will have a linked number attached to the transaction that way.

If you physically go to the post office, keep that receipt and attach it to a copy of the sale, that way you can stay organized. It really helps when things go wrong or if you ever get really busy with multiple orders, you can keep yourself sane by keeping track of everything.

Everyone has their own system but I highly recommend having something in place for issues that can arise. Packages get delayed or lost all the time, or even items can arrive broken. I had that happen once, it was a pain but having everything organized helped get me through it.

I hope you are able to find your package. Hopefully it was just delayed or is in the process of return. In the mean time, try to find that receipt if you can. Because if the item does not get to the customer and you have no way of knowing where it is, you are responsible for sending out a new item to them to ensure they receive what they purchased. This happened to me a few weeks ago, I called the post office and had them put a tracer on the package, my local post office also got in touch with the PO at the destination, it was finally located and delivered.

If you shipped it via Priority Mail, $50.00 of insurance is included. However, since you have no receipt, I would contact your local postmaster or call the USPS 800 number and open a missing package case.
Be sure to ask for and write down your case number.

If she receives the pkg after you have refunded her, then you can graciously accept that one learns through one's mistakes. However, you won't know if she ever received it for sure because you don't have tracking. Your customer may never let you know.

Always keep a receipt, always get tracking, always have a trail.

It is possible that your customer will have integrity and honesty and offer to run the payment through again. There are good people in this world who always do the right thing.

But if that does not happen, have a plan for "next time." Just remember, your Etsy shop is a business and you must keep records for your tax reports.
