Wow, views are LOW lately

The last 5 days have been really slow on views. Now I know views don't equal sales, but I'm only averaging 25 or so a day instead of my usual 75-100. So, since it's been slow I've updated some listing, rearranged some things, and worked a little extra on Tophatter to get new customers and sales. Hopefully that all helps. I feel like my listings are more informative now and give the buyer a bit more incentive to, well, buy :P

What do you do when your views/sales are low?

I've had MUCH lower views the past week as well - I usually average about 300 a day lately and since about a week ago I've been lucky to get 150-200.

However! I've been getting almost daily sales, so I guess I'm not allowed to complain? Ha.

When views are low I try to create more new items to list!

Nice! It's always great to see a sale on a day with low views, I had one a few days ago, but since then I've been pretty dead. Hit the 75 sales mark though! Almost to 100!!!

Last night I made some new soap items I will be listing here in the next few days after I take some pictures, so I guess slow is good sometimes :P

My views have been slow as well! I got a ton last Monday but not many since then..

My views have virtually dropped off the edge of the earth . . . I expect low views this time of year since my sales are seasonal - but this past week it's almost gotten depressing. I use this down time to create ready to ship items for fall - and I'm trying to stay focused on how wonderful it was last Nov and Dec to be shipping several ready mades with each custom order that went out ! Today is dark and rainy adding to the blah feeling - so I pulled up last years stats to remind myself today's work would be worth it !

When my views are low, I either create something or work on SEO. I also try to promote as much as possible, but that gets overwhelming.

Its been really slow here too the last couple of days. I am figuring it is because of Mothers Day. Well, Mother's Day is over so bring on the action!

Yes, last 4-5 days views tanked extremely, on etsy and also on my blog for example, sales are today also very low for monday, something is up..

yep, views are pretty slow here as well, I guess people have better things to do in the nice weather.

Have you tried twitter?
You don't need a lot of followers to get see an impact in views.
I always feel that if I tweet, Etsy is trying to play catch up an my normal
Etsy views jump then,too.
Just today I felt it was going a wee bit slow, tweeted only a few items
et voila a new customer, never been to Etsy before used direct check out
and I got a sale.
I find twitter amazing....and direct check out ;-))

My views and favorites have been very low... but I did get one custom order yesterday (yay!). During slow times, I've been working on developing new products, but it's so frustrating when they don't work out -- such a waste of time!

What do you do when an item doesn't turn out as expected? Write it off as a loss? Offer it at a sale price?

Yes views are super low this moth!! last month i was getting about 300 a day and now im at less than 100! its crazy how low they have been. Lets hope they pick up :) good luck everyone!

I average half a dozen a week! I'm obviously doing something very wrong! Hope everyone's views pick up, including my own!!!

Gena's idea is awesome, im also trying to add more item n taking pics too when sales are slow. I was sad when there is no sale before even for short time, but now im more calm n appreciate less busy times. It seems there is some sort of cycle generated by public holidays n stuff. :)

I have good luck with Stumbleupon. It does bring in some traffic. Pinterest, Juxtapost, and Wanelo are also good engines.

well...glad it wasnt just me, Im appreciative of this post.
I also was thinking about posting more thru pinterest, wanelo, and try some listings on tophatter as well, although usually the items sell for much lower.
I definetly see a drop in views lately, but I'm patient, and when listing new items, or renewing some the numbers usually pop back up.

Oh, 100-300 views a day,wow.I had 15-25 views a day last week( that was much for me).Yesterday 8 and today 2. :)

Yesterday I took part in a treasury team challenge, I got lots and lots of views and favourites! And not only the team members, there were favourites from people who don't have a shop.

Having the same issue here, view and sale are just slow down while entering the months of May... Any reason for this? Peoples are out to holiday? :)

yeah..initially it gets depressed when there's like 0 view of a new listing..but i got over it.

But it is very strange for me too, one day I have like 25 views and let's say 20 favourites, one day 122 views and 2 favourites :D

I've noticed a bit of trough as well, I had a peak of sales at the start of April so I bought a new camera.. and I've had no sales since then, and far less views than normal. I was expecting it to sky-rocket, since I've improved all my photos now as well!!

Oh well, maybe it is the good weather... hmmm
