Why my shop doesn't work? Why I don't sell? Please help me.

Hello,

I have opened my shop a month ago, and I only have a sale and a few favorites.
Right now I'm working on a facebook to promote my art.
I go into other etsy shops to network artists, I made some treasury list with my products. I think the photos are good, and the product is not bad.

So not exactly know what is failing. I would like you help me a little.

I am not new in Etsy, I have another user since a couple of years and another shop that does work, but this is about my specialty, I'm an illustrator and I would like it to work better. My idea is to expand the repertoire but if it does not work I'm afraid to do it.

I would say add more art to your shop. Take the chance and keep creating! I have the same problem with keeping my shop full.

hi silvia,
your items are lovely but you only have 7! so there is not really much to choose from. list more items so you have a better chance of getting seen.
continue to promote it, maybe try pinterest and wanelo

Also try tumblr, as in illustrator myself tumblr is pretty supportive of it's artists. Tumblr is a photo blogging site if you didn't know.

A month is a very short time. Most Etsians will tell you that it takes a while before you get your first sale - and you already got that. Do not get discouraged. Keep building your shop and listing more items. Also, I am not an expert at all in photography - I am still working on that - but I would like to suggest that you lighten your photos a bit. They seem a little dark to me.

Hi ! I'll email you a newer version of one of the photos that is looking too blue. I get the same problem with my basic camera.

A few more items would be nice.

You might look at your tags. Thee a tv show here that deals with actual strange things like those you are illustrating here's the link: http://science.discovery.com/tv-shows/oddities. You might add the tag "oddities" to pick up some views.
