@Elaine
WhosIn is an extremely powerful promotional tool because you can use it to more easily promote your blog, tweets or website to gain more exposure and followers. Use WhosIn to do this by:
1. Creating topics inside WhosIn that you are interested in and use frequently in other social media sites. As an added bonus, if the topics have not already been created by another user, you will be given prominence for that topic. This results in more widespread exposure.
2. After creating or following a topic that uses #tags you frequently use, other followers who subscribe to that same topic will automatically see your posts.
3. When other followers react to your tweets, WhosIn automatically retweets the post to all their followers in Twitter, enabling your tweets to “go viral.”
4. Place a link to your WhosIn profile on your blogs in order to get more reactions from your followers there. Your content will be retweeted even more!
5. Follow and react to topics others are posting about to gain even more followers in Twitter.
6. Click on the broadcast button on your profile page and automatically update your site with your activity inside whosIn or in twitter.
Some F.A.Q
How do I add content to WhosIn ?
The easiest way to add content to WhosIn is to tweet using previously established WhoIn topics.
How do I know if a certain #tag is already added in WhosIn?
Simply search for the topic inside WhosIn. For example, if you want to see what people are saying about the latest pair of Minolo Blaniks, type “shoes” into the search bar (NOT #shoes.) If it is already added, you will see the WhosIn shoes page. If it hasn’t been added, you will immediately be given the chance to do so.
I tweeted with a #tag already added in WhosIn, but I can’t see my tweet.
We are still in Beta mode, so it currently takes up to 30 minutes to appear in WhosIn after you tweet. As the site is developed, this wait time should decrease.
How long does it take to approve my new topic?
In order to ensure quality topics we require the topic to be followed by at least 10 followers. Once you reach that threshold we review the topic and then activate it.
Approval takes from 24 to 72 hours. During our approval process, we check to make sure that users are not grabbing topics that are inappropriate or unrelated to topics usually tweeted from their accounts. This is for security purposes. You may be asked to verify why you would be suitable to lead the topic. We also check to make sure there are no duplicate topics and that #tags are selected correctly.
