Which is Better...Circles or Shop Favs?

When my shop recieves a fav or like from someone, it is an honor. It really is. I am thrilled.

Favs, before circles, were very important. Now they seem to have fallen by the wayside.

Plus, circles have a limit. You can only have so many circles. Etsy keeps telling me I have too many circles and to eliminate people. How can one do that?

Hi Marsha,

You can delete people from your circle by first going to your profile page, clicking Circles from the left hand menu (under your avatar) and then the 'Your Circles' tab. If you hover over the words 'in your circle' an x will appear and from there should be obvious!

I think both have a valid purpose but I have found that favorites generate more sales.

I like circles though as a way to promote members of my team. I think of it as a 'Pay it Forward' type of marketing. And I love surfing through to see what my circle are looking at. I have found some stellar stuff that I wouldn't have otherwise found, so as a shopper this is a cool tool for me.

I agree with Shawnna! I really enjoy my circles on a social aspect!
Favorites are great though as well!

Since I discovered circles, I rarely look at any items other than those on my circle activites.

I have circle 194 circles now,, I'm happy to see other people favorite. <3

I add folks to my circle if I admire their style or the things that they have favorited on here. Shops that you have fave'd will show up on the right hand side whenever they have added something new (which is a plus!). I've had to remove a few folks who were constantly on Etsy adding things; it was eating up my activity stream!
