Where do Amazon views come from?

I don't have anything listed on Amazon, but I've had 3 views from there on different days. And one view was for an item that had sold. So I'm just wondering how Etsy items get seen from Amazon.

I have wondered the same thing. I'm curious as well.

Possibly people are putting you on their Amazon wish lists, then someone looking through the wish list clicks through to your item.

I didn't know you could add non Amazon items to your wish list. I got another view yesterday from the same item that's been sold. Weird.

Etsy advertises with google ads....which show up on amazon. :)
Like if your lookin at something scroll down and sometimes it shows..."Product Ads from External Website"

I also get views from Amazon and EBay but I haven't anything there.

You can add external items to Amazon wishlists.

I got another view from Amazon for the same sold item. It's weird to me that it's always from an item that isn't even available. And it is of course my most popular item that I can't get the supplies for anymore. :(

Sometimes I get views on my sold items. I have read in Etsy Forums that our sold items do appear as active listings, something that Google does not like.
