Where am I going wrong?

Hi,

I try to promote my shop and I receive hundreds of views each month, but I'm just not selling.

I'm really starting to wonder what could be putting people off that potential sale. Are my prices too high? Is my shipping too much?

I find it really hard to look at my shop objectively, and I change my product photos nearly everyday as I'm not satisfied with them.

I'm probably just being picky, but if anyone had any tips or advice I would be very grateful.

Thanks

You have wonderful pictures, I like them really, your prices are probalby too low, don´t you think of it? What distracts me, that these chalks are on the pictures. I find it difficult to concentrate on the picture itself.

I have the same problem & I´m on the way to fix it.

prices? too inexpensive.
photos? a little distracting with the chalk.
tags and titles? fill them with word phrases that make sense.
very cute shop, unique items, and to be honest you're not doing really bad.
promote and join teams that are active.

Re: Where am I going wrong?

I agree. You're prices speak about how you feel about your work. So if they're too low, then that gives off the feeling that you're not confident about your cards. They're beautiful so you should have a ton of confidence in them!
If you're having trouble deciding on a good price, there's a simple equation someone taught me that I have stuck with!

Cost of Supplies per item x 2 = A
Hourly Wage x Number of hours worked = B
A + B = Price!

Hope this helps! =)

I didn't have too much time to look either, but you might consider organizing your sections and shortening the titles of them. I get a little confused.
Maybe even consider a section for "Card Sets" to make it easier for those who want more than one card to find a set!

Re: Where am I going wrong?

I adore your shop. I would totally purchase from you for holiday gifts if you offered a wider variety of larger prints that could be framed. You only have 4 prints and 100+ cards. Your artwork is so beautiful - why confine yourself to blank cards? I recommend offering many more larger-sized prints. You'll be able to give them a higher price point and profit more from each sale rather than with the cards.

Re: Where am I going wrong?

Thanks for everyone's advice.

I find it interesting that you all recommend I raise my prices, I have raised my prices significantly since I started out selling, but I also want to keep my prices competitive. I will definately give higher prices a go and see what happens.

As for the prints, this is something I've just started trying, but I'm going to start listing some larger size prints tomorrow!

I love your work. I think original art is really hard to sell on Etsy, so just hang in there. Also, work on your tags. I try to think about what I would type into the search bar if I wanted to find that exact item. Longer, more specific tags work better.
