When an item has a lot of colors what do you call it.

I'm thinking "multi colored" and a few of the other colors listed but am I missing some other identifiers?

I either use "multi-colored" or "colorful". Can't think of anything else. Interested to see if anything else comes up.

Not sure that this is the best way though.

I'd go with multi-color, but I don't think people would search for that, maybe try to name a few of the colors in the title?

If applicable, "rainbow" seems to be a word for multi-color that customers use in search.

I've used rainbow and multicolor for items with several colors. I've gotten search hits for both.

Try the different terms and then check your stats in a couple of weeks to see what people are actually searching on. I've found the best luck with just listing the separate colors and "rainbow", where appropriate.
