So... I have been a bit down lately..although I have had a few more sales, I just didn't seen the upsurge I wanted to over the holidays. I spent a WHOLE lot of time emailing magazines, bloggers, and so forth and STILL wasn't seeing a difference....UNTIL....
I saw this!
http://blogs.babble.com/family-style/2012/01/04/crochet-obsession/ For those of you who do not know Babble, it is an online magazine devoted to modern parents, and for those of you who don't know Gabrielle Blair, she is an awesome blogger who has won tons of awards and been featured in every magazine possible..big names like..Real Simple Mag, Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Oprah..the list goes on.
This little feature of my little shop sent my spirits soaring, I tell ya, and even if I don't get one sale from it (although I have gotten views, yeah!) the idea that all that work and frustration we Etsy sellers put into every listing and our small businesses is not for nothing! There are people out there that love what we do, appreciate everything handmade, and will give us a little shout-out :)
My advice? Email Email Email! Don't be shy, make yourself known! It will pay off!
