We have all been there, your shop and sales have been going great, you are feeling confident, things could not be better with your business and all of a sudden one day of nothing turns into weeks of nothing: No sales, requests.
It's easy to think it must be the economy, no one has money, something must be broken, it isn't my shop. But what if it is? If others are making sales and you are not maybe just maybe it is your shop. When things stall I would consider an overhall. Minor or major, sometimes a little bit of tweaking can bring the sales back in force, raise your confidence, and get you back where you want to be.
1. When Was The Last New Item You Listed.
And maybe not just a new item, how about a new idea, a new line.... something different from what you have made before? Trends change... I learned this 3 times now with my store. Each time I had a stall, and each time I took action and created a new line of work or brought in a new item life and my store NaturalAmber ran smoothly again.
2. Do you really know what customers are looking for?
Not everyone wants to be a mainstream seller, and I don't mean that when I ask this question. But do you have an item someone in the public wants. If so how do you know? Could it be that once popular item you sold is no longer that popular. For those who are serious about building a business that is more than a hobby this question is for you. This is a great resource. No its not a great resource... its an ETSY must read. :)

How are your pictures? Should you retake some of them? Often times swapping for a different background or angle could entice someone to click on your link. Hows your description? Do they make sense? Are you describing the product acurately? How are your tags? Can people find you? This is my all time favorite resource for tagging:

It is necessary to do some promoting. I do alot in the forums, the teams I'm on, making treasuries, I use facebook (my personal page, not so much my business) and rely alot on word of mouth. Remember, good customer service is one of the best tools for promotion!
How about you, when things stall what have you done to bring in sales again?
Make it a great day!
