Whats the best way to get attention for a FLASH SALE?

I just set a Flash sale 3 days 40% off orders over $45.00

But I never get orders on my sales I set?  How can I get buyers to notice my sale????

That sounds really desperate. Consider a less drastic flash sale or you leave yourself no where to go.
