What should I put in my profile's "about" section?

Hi guys. My profile's "about" section is blank. I know I should put something here but I just don't think I'm as clever as some of the other sellers I've seen around on Etsy that know just what to say. Does anyone have any tips on what to put here?

Write a little bit about yourself and what you offer.
Tell people why it is you chose to do this.

Check out other shops and see what they wrote...maybe you will find inspiration.
It doesn't have to be witty or sentimental. It can be simple.
I like seeing a little something written in that section as opposed to nothing.

Re: What should I put in my profile's "about" section?

I just kind of wrote a little bit about myself and my shop. I just tried to sound personal and wrote from the heart. I don't know how exciting my profile is, but I think people just want to know a little about the shop owner and that they are a real person in the virtual world. ;)

Like the others said, just write a little bit about yourself and why you opened your shop. Since you sell wedding stuff, you might want to include a bit about your wedding so that brides (and grooms) know you've gone through the same process yourself (assuming your married, that is).

Ha ha, I love re-writing people's profiles so much that I've considered putting a listing in my shop for editing/writing help.

Yours is fine, but maybe you should sit down and brainstorm a list of little interesting, off-beat things about yourself. How did you end up in Ohio? How did you decide to open a shop? Are you trying to do etsy full time or just as a hobby? What inspires your creations? Etc.

Feel free to convo me if you want more help or if you re-write it. It's fun. :) I've defintely been drawn into people's shops by their profiles--it does matter what you have there.
