What's your daily routine?

In addition to my craft shop, I also have a large family and a full time job. So it seems like there is never enough hours in the day to actually do all of the suggestions out there to make my Etsy shop a success. But daily I have a routine.

Mondays- List new items I made over the weekend and update shop.
Tuesdays- TV treasury, take new photos if needed.
Wednesday- Facebook, blog, community threads, make new connections
Thursdays- work on new items
Fridays- Blog, inventory shop, facebook
Weekend - work as much as I can.

Does anyone else have a routine?

Re: What's your daily routine?

Since summer started, I basically have nothing to do without school.... Basically my days consist of job hunting, drawing/painting and going on the computer... Once I get a job I'll probably fall back into having a set routine.

Re: What's your daily routine?

I can't say I have any sort of set routine like you do.. I am a stay at home wife and take college classes online. I kind of do routine maintenance daily on my shop and facebook and then new items are posted at random. I'd like to have a set schedule but my college classes are sort of unpredictable in that assignments aren't always due on say Wednesdays for instance, etc.

Re: What's your daily routine?

My routine isn't so systematic but on average I would say I spend most mornings answering emails/convos and skimming team forums for info. The afternoons are spent designing, proofing, and in production. Fridays are my ship days so I'm always super busy at the end of the week with getting orders out. Social media is usually done in between each of them-- so I do it when I'm printing or otherwise waiting on things.

My business is my full time job and I don't have kids yet, but there still aren't enough hours in the day! I learned when I started doing this full time that it really doesn't make things any easier. You just fill your days with more and more responsibilities as time goes on.

Re: What's your daily routine?

Over the summer, I hope to actually have a little bit of time to relax. However, that never works out like I hope. Though I do steal a little bit of time each morning to go out into my garden, meditate for a while as I feed my pond fish and poke around.

I see so many people upset that after months they don't have many sales. But I am almost thankful that I am not swamped just yet, I need more time to prepare and get things set more solid. Routine does help though. If I get to my creative corner and don't know where to start I can look at my list of things set for that day and just jump in.

Re: What's your daily routine?

I used to work full time in an office and run a baking business from my home. As my baking business grew, it was more and more difficult to juggle the business with my office job and taking care of my family (four kids and a husband).

A little over a year ago, I was laid off from my office job. I was okay with this, because the baking business was really taking off. That's the good news.

The bad news is that there still is never enough time! I guess that is because I love making things, so I started sewing and painting again, I started a blog, I make jewelry and I like to dabble in various other mediums.

My baking business is my priority, as it is my 'bread and butter', so to speak. I like to get most of my work done in the morning, then if there is time left over I work at my other interests.
