At shows I sell like crazy, but bigger and more expensive the more popular. This year I've been selling out the first day of 3 days shows. On Etsy however sales are slow. Views are slower, even with paid adverts.

HELP!

(P.S. I use to fill all 4 photos but now it's too time consuming for too little return).

Re: What's wrong with my products?

I think a photo of a pin placed on a shirt someone is wearing would be great. That would help buyers understand what it actually is much faster. And getting rid of the the word 'bid' would be good too, that makes it sound like ebay.

Use all you photo spaces, when you are at shows give out business cards, develop a brand as you have a very specific style and some of your items are seasonal.

Maybe use a model or another prop in your pics. Write about he history of your art to attract more buyer.

You have well made items.

Just some ideas.

Re: What's wrong with my products?

Okay...here is my take on your cute pins.

My first thought is it is a holloween item. Also that part of the pin is the background with the spiderweb and that it comes with, "handmade by,etc.."
written on the pin I am to wear.
I know that with closer scrutiny that might be not the case...but how many times do people stick around to scrutinize. How long do you hang around to look at Christmas things right now?
Gotta-get-them-on-first-view.

Am I right that the pin is just the painted piece? I would like to see a side view that shows how far it stands out when I wear it. I imagine you wear your pins at your booth...good way to see how it shows.

What is it made out of....your show customers get to handle the item. It is probably a great "feel and see" item at a good price. I would show the pin sideways and the back and talk about durability. Are they signed...?
I kinda think your booth customers see more than we do here.

Is your item just a holloween theme. I see it can be worn year round.
Hope these thoughts help you.

Remember, that if my questions are answered on your description there might be a reason I, and other potential customers, did not get clear information.

Hang in there...such a cute item.

Re: What's wrong with my products?

Looked at your About Page and.....
Just noticed that your craft shows are based on the theme of your pins.

That could be some of your answer there...
You get your buyer at these shows.
They are there because they are looking for your type of theme.....

Still, follow all the great suggestions these wonderful Etsy sellers have given you and....
Good luck again.

Re: What's wrong with my products?

I've noticed that many people have commented about the materials not being listed. I listed them in the materials area. I didn't realize that it no longer shows up on the main listing/description as it did when I was first on etsy. (I listed "lightweight clay" but I cannot find it in any of the listings.

Good catch etsyians.

More great comments.

Yes I agree about white backgrounds. If you look at my previous sales I use to photo everything on white backgrounds, but not uncarding the items is too time consuming for so little return. Perhaps I will try to make sure I get snaps of any new batches of pins before I card them. Thank you again for all your suggestions and for taking the time to help! :)

Cheers!
