What's going on with my VIEWS?

I realize the day is not over yet ... but just wondering what is going ON?? I had over 50 views every day for the past few weeks ... and NOW, 12. Any answer to why there's been such a sudden *DROP*?? :(

my are way way down today. not even where i'm usually at first thing in the morning.

i thought maybe i was the only one. glad to know it's not just me.

last week i have 1600 views! couldnt believe it! today... 0

like you said, its only 3pm here, but ive never had 0 views at this point in the day

Ashley, to what did you attribute the jump in views (if anything)? And more importantly, did any sales come out of it?

Its been an awful day for views.

Agreed. To begin with, I barely have any (like 30 a day), but today there have been about 2. It's ridiculous. :(

My average is about 300 a day, but today I don't think I'll reach 100. They haven't been messing with their algorithms again have they? Please don't tell me I have to tweak all my item titles yet again?!

Thank goodness I'm not alone! My views have been super low. I'm just kind of freaking out because I feel like next week is my last week to really have any sales and ship them in a timely manner. I just really want it to pick up, and soon!

Look at your shop stats. Where specifically is the drop coming from? Etsy, google, yahoo, blogs etc!

Is it your shop views that are down? Listing views that are down? Or both?

What did you do differently today? Where you in the forums less? Have you listed new items?

I have done nothing differently today and my views have dropped from over 200 as a norm to just 40!

Some people have mentioned a "carousel effect" in which some show just show up better some days, and others not so much. For instance, I've been getting a lot of views due to my holiday items, although things are slowing down.

A couple days ago I was just over 300 views at the end of the day. However, today, I'm at about 400 and it's only 1: 30 pm here! I suspect I'll have 600 views by the end of the day.

300 views one day...600 views the next? I'm grateful to have so many views after struggling for months, but what can explain the difference in HUNDREDS of views from one day to the next when nothing has changed?

I'm not sure what's going on either - I added new items today like I normally do. However, I've had more views today than I had all last week. Perhaps the system is messed up - as in I'm getting your stats.

My views are down today but i made a sale. Ya never know. Some days lots of views and no sales and other days few views and a sale.

Most days there's something to keep me motivated......views, sales, new customer, favs or included in a treasury......or......just some great banter in the forums.

We've given up trying to figure out the stats, but pay attention to sales and haven't got any in a couple of days any of the 3 shops. And yes, our views are down too.
