What's Next?

OK so you have the etsy store, the blog, the facebook, products, your google analytics set up and you've read everything there is..........then it's like what's next? do you ever hit that point? how do you march on past it and figure out what to do next?

Re: What's Next?

I normally head into the studio and make some new pieces, and retweek my photos.

I also had a friend stopping by to look at some pieces last weekend and while all my wares were out I also threw some inexpensive things together, invited more friends and had a small impromptu "open studio"(uhemm...my studios in my house) but with the right setting I actually made some money and it got the word out about my shop!

Sometimes the promoting is better done in person if you feel you've exhausted your online options and aren't seeing results, it was instant gratification and $$, hope this helps!

Re: What's Next?

Whats next? You wait for the sales to roll in!! *I wish*.
With my business, I really don't see an end game. Its a constantly changing, laborious (but fun/rewarding) process. Keep at it and enjoy the ride!

Re: What's Next?

I just keep creating new items and tweaking my shop to improve everything all the time. Now that all of the pieces are in place I can just play & create! (and tweak!!)

Re: What's Next?

Simone, I love the idea of doing an open studio or other sort of in person marketing. What a way to think out side the box of the etsy store! I'm off to brainstorm ways to make in person marketing work for me!

Re: What's Next?

Keep pushing! Just because you have a blog or a facebook doesn't mean it's smooth sailing. I'm constantly trying to get more blog readers or facebook fans. Promotion is a 24/7 job that I've learned you have to stay on top of. Constantly pushing your means of promotion will never leave you saying "what's next?" because it's never ending! ;]

Re: What's Next?

since my products are mainly supplies related I had someone suggest that I do some YouTube video's on creating things with the supplies I make. I thought it was a good idea to get new people interested.

Re: What's Next?

ok so like i mentioned my items are mainly supplies for book artists and book binders.....is it bad Etsy manners to send convo's to shops who would be interested in using my supplies? is there a no no to advertising to other Etsy shops?

Definitely a no no, it would be considered spam.

Re: What's Next?

Everytime I see a post here, you are advertising your shop. I frequently look at the shop of those who are posting. Sometimes, I favorite that shop because I like their wares, photography or am intrigued. By the way, the topics I have read tonight have been so helpful, I am glad to be on this team. I wish us all the best and thanks for the advise from the more successful members.. it is appreciated.
