My last 66 orders have been paid through direct checkout, nothing by paypal. It seems to have happened around the time we were given a choice to combine direct checkout and paypal though I opted out of that. If I log out and put one of my items in a cart the option for paypal is still there. So is it just coincidence that no one has paid with paypal? Has anyone else noticed a drop in sales through paypal?
I have direct checkout which includes paypal. I am not notified on what specific card my customers used, only that they paid thru direct checkout. It really doesn't matter to me either...money is money;-) Jewel
I've noticed a big drop in PayPal usage too since I started allowing direct checkout. But I'm with Jewel, too: as long as I'm getting paid it's fine by me. :)
oooh I know i had issues with paypal yesterday, but it seems to be sorted, i have noticed a spike in sales in general since accepting direct checkout but both paypal and direct checkout seem to be in equal usage.
Hmmm, maybe it just happens that nobody wanted to use paypal. It's just weird because September 27th was the last time I got a payment through paypal. I guess it doesn't matter I'm mostly curious.
It is weird. I literally got 7 sales yesterday only 1 of which paid through paypal. It's very strange. I probably have people using it more frequently than you, but it still seems that the vast majority of my buyers end up paying with direct checkout.
There have been some complaints in the Forums that customers don't actually see the PP option, only DC. I certainly hope this was a temporary glitch or a handful of incidents and nothing more.
I only accept payments by PP. I never signed up for DC for a number of reasons. I check regularly that the option is ticked.
