When I worked in an office enviroment years ago and didn't take lunch away from my desk, the afternoon was unproductive, I was grumpy and watching the clock. What's my point? All work and not play makes us dull, uncreative and burn out will set in. This is my opinion of course, however, many of us do have families, other interests and obligations and to keep those creative juices going we need to step aside, breathe and enjoy the pleasures of life let alone catch up on the laundry and get the house clean and chores done before another work week sets in. Maybe read a book, take a walk and just breathe. I try to do this as much as I can. I start very early since I get up at 5AM and hit my computer before I work on the repurposing of my furniture or crafts. I take a break for a lovely cup of soup at my computer again at noon return to the shop and stop work by 3 or 4 in the afternoon to enjoy the evening with my husband. Weekends are spent with my family. At the LEAST Saturday and Sunday catching up around the house. I hope this might help some of you. We all have the line in the sand that we need to heed. I've learned what mine is and still push it too far many many times I'm
not perfect NEVER EVER will be. I love dearly what I do, and it becomes an obsession. But I need to take care of me if I'm going to stay well and creative to keep my business moving in the direction I desire. Enjoy your day to the fullest everyone. Whatever it is that you do today! :)
Fondly, Brenda :))))
